Canton Fire Department is the oldest fire department in Cherokee County being established in 1916. Over the last 90 plus years the Canton Fire Department has been dedicated to providing the highest level of public safety to our citizens and our goal is to continue to provide the services that our community has come to expect from us. This goal will be achieved by the hard working men and women dedicated to the protection of the citizens we serve.

Our department proudly services our citizens by providing fire suppressions, emergency medical care, fire safety education, CPR training, fire extinguisher training, advance water rescue (this is a joint rescue team with Canton Police Department), fire investigation, fire inspections and plan review.

Canton Fire Department services the city with two stations located at 190 West Main Street and 2731 Marietta Highway. These stations are equipped with 3 fire engines, one ladder truck, a state of the art mobile command center, a fire/weather safety house, an air truck and a rescue gator. As the city continues to grow the city is proactive in maintaining our high level of service by adding stations and equipment to strategic locations to protect our citizens.

It is an honor and a privilege that we serve the City of Canton. Working together we can achieve the highest levels of preparedness, prevention and community involvement possible. Through trust, pride, diversity, integrity and training we can make the City of Canton “More than a City”.
