The Engineering Department is responsible for the review of the planning, design and construction of capital improvements for the City of Canton including street improvements, right of way acquisition, storm water and utility system improvements.The Engineering Department reviews site plans and performs inspections for public and private land improvements for subdivisions and commercial developments within the City, including soil erosion plans, maintenance of erosion control measures and enforcement.
