There are three (3) ways to schedule an inspection.
1. Call the inpection line at 770-704-1551.
2. Request an inspection at the Building Department located at 151 Elizabeth Street, Canton Ga 30114.
3. Fax an inspection form to 678-493-2094. Inspections called/faxed inbrfore 3:00 pm will be scheduled for the next business day. Those called in after 3:00 pm will be scheduled for two (2) business days.
If you would like to apply for and alcohol license you will need to complete an application then submit it to the city. There is a $300.00 nonrefundable application fee to apply for an alcohol license.

If you would like to start a business please fill out a business license application. The minimal fee for a business license is $100.00. Fess are based on the gross receipts of the business.
Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) has placed a burn ban for our area form May 1 through September 30 of each year.
A permit is required for burning all Natural Vegetation that is hand piled, including leaf piles on the premises that they fall, and vegetative debris disposal from storm damage, weed abatement, disease and/or pest prevention. It is unlawful to burn man made materials such as tires, shingles, plastics, lumber, household garbage, etc. Fires should not be initiated before 8:00 a.m. and should be completely extinguished by 6:00 pm. To request a burn permit please call 770-479-7287 the day you plan to burn.
A permit will not be issued on days where the fire danger or fire danger forecast is high (class 3).

To obtain a copy of an incident report you must fill out a Open Records Request Form with the date of the incident, the time of the incident, the location of the incident and any other pertinent information to allow us to process you request as fast as possible.
