The City of Canton Parks and Recreation Division is responsible for the maintenance and repairs of the City parks and facilities. This division strives to provide safe and enjoyable recreational and leisure opportunities that promote the physical, social, and mental wellness of its citizens. We want your feed back and assistance.  If you see a problem, or notice an area that needs some cleanup ,or have an idea for a play space, fill out this form and we will gladly take care of it.


Functions and Duties:
  • Landscape and Maintain the Grounds at all Park Facilities and City Facilities
  • Cut Grass; Weed Eat; Spray Weed Control or Herbicides/Insecticides; Edge; Prune; Fertilize; Mulch; Pick up Trash and Debris; Empty Trash Cans and Replace them with New Trash Bags
  • Plant Trees; Plant Flowers; Water Plants and Flowers during the Drought Season
  • Maintain the Sprinkler Systems at the Parks
  • Line the Ball Field at Boling Park during Baseball Season
  • Stripe Parking Spaces and Other Areas within the Facilities as Needed
  • Complete all Maintenance and Repairs at Park Facilities: Clean Restrooms; Supply and Replace Bathroom Supplies (i.e. Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, etc…)
  • Schedule Pavilion Rentals at Boling Park
  • Assist with Special Events, Concerts, Movies, etc…
  • Assist with Arbor Day and Bring One for the Chipper
  • Install Christmas Trees and Christmas Lights in the Parks during the Holiday Season
  • Assist the Street Division when Needed
